BunkoJess Gallery, opened in May of 2022, is a working art and music gallery located on the scenic banks of the Muskingum River in the Putnam Entertainment District in Zanesville, Ohio. It features art by Jessica Spires (Bunko), Carrie Turner (Butterfly), and musician David Spires. Visitors can stop on Fridays and Saturdays 12-6 p.m. to watch artists working on art and learn about the process. Every visit will be unique as the entire process from brainstorming to framing and presentation are created in Gallery. In addition, BunkoJess Gallery hosts a variety of featured artists each month with changing displays and new available works by local artists and custom pieces that can only be found at BunkoJess. The Gallery is also a second location for Millersport-based business, Guitar Parts Factory, so musicians and those looking for gifts for musicians can stop in to shop a variety of guitar parts, vintage music-related art prints and memorabilia, shirts, hats, ukuleles and guitars. Visitors of any age can create art during their visit. A variety of wooden cut outs, canvas boards, and watercolor materials (changing with the season and availability) and all supplies to create the art are available during normal hours at a cost of donation. Cost for group art making events with seasonally available supplies is $13-75 per person, dependent upon the project chosen.
