Zane's Trace Commemoration

Join local historian, Gary Allen, as he leads guests through an enlightening tour of the Zanesville Canal and Muskingum River. Learn about the history of the inner structure and development of the canal.

Tours last about an hour depending on guest participation and cost $12 per participant. In addition to the tour, guests will receive a complimentary 28-page booklet to follow along.

This event requires extensive walking across at times, uneven terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. When you arrive, please give the tour guide your name to verify tickets .The meeting place is the first parking lot located at 8 Main Street Zanesville, OH. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
