After more than a year of planning and coordination, the Gus Macker basketball tournament is officially set to return to Zanesville in 2027. Organizers announced that the tournament will take place July 10-11, 2027, marking a major milestone in efforts to bring the popular 3-on-3 basketball event back to the community. The announcement comes after months of behind-the-scenes work involving sponsors, community partners, committee members and other supporters. Organizers said additional details will be released in the coming weeks, with several partners expected to issue official announcements about the event. Information about the Zanesville tournament is also expected to be added to the Gus Macker tour schedule and website before the holidays. Registration is expected to open around Jan. 1, 2027. The Gus Macker tournament format brings together basketball players of varying ages and skill levels for outdoor 3-on-3 competition. The Zanesville event is expected to draw players, families and spectators to the area for the two-day tournament. More information about registration, tournament location, sponsorships and other event details is expected as organizers continue preparations for July 2027.
