Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway just miles from The Wilds Safari Park, Blue Rock State Park, Jesse Owens State Park and DNR Recreational Land. Come enjoy this peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of home. We are situated on 30 acres of beautiful woods with trails to explore or mountain bike on! The cabin sleeps 4 with one of the beds being a full size sleeper couch. Fully stocked kitchen for your use, and free unlimited fire wood. The space Welcome to Chipmunk Ridge! Our cabin sits on a little over 30 acres of woodlands in the outskirts of ODNR Recreational Lands. The cabin is a little over 800sqft ,so yes a tiny home but you will never feel crammed. It has everything you need for an awesome stay. We have a small but full kitchen where you will have access to just about all you need to cook a fantastic meal. It has a keurig coffee maker, toaster, along with a gas stove and oven. I'm kinda old school so no microwave. If cooking isn't your thing let me know and I can send you a menu and price list of what I'm cooking up that week to be delivered during your stay. The bedroom has a queen size memory foam mattress and is a comfy cozy as can be. The game room (aka sitting room) has and oversized chair with lamp so you can curl up with some of the books here. We also have a stock of games to play when you're not exploring the trails or meadow! Sorry we do not have a tv but we do have WiFi so if you'd like to watch a show you'll have to do so on your phone or tablet. The living area has two recliners and a pull out couch(full size) in case you'd like a couple of friends to stay with you. (Please be aware that we charge an additional fee of $35/ day for additional guests over 2 persons. Ex. The first two guests are included in the reservation fee but additional people will be $35/day per person. This includes children 2 years and older. ) please also be aware that the cabin is NOT child proofed. We have walking trails throughout the property and you can mountain bike on them as well! They are shorts loops but a great warmup to the technical riding at The Wilds! We also have awesome gravel riding through the countryside. The Wilds Safari Park is about 2miles from us and the animals never disappoint!! They have horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, butterfly trail, as well as the mountain bike trails I mentioned and they have zip lining right over the animals in the park! Blue Rock State Park is about 3miles down the road and you can swim and fish there. There is a camp store has the best hand scooped ice cream available Thursday through Sunday during their season. The closest town is Duncan Falls ( about 25 minutes) with a grocery store, gas stations, Dollar General, hardware store , Subway, Dairy Queen and a great little Mexican Place with killer margaritas! Zanesville is about 35 minutes and has everything a city could have. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin and 30 acres of grounds. There are boundary markers on the end of our property. It backs up to the DNR recreational area where you can explore thousands of acres. You can hunt on DNR land with permits. Please no hunting on our property. Other things to note We have Leonidas and Penelope the cabin cats that stay with us while we are using the cabin. We keep all the linens for our guests separate from ours. We just want you to be aware that they are there on occasion.
