Registration Deadline: September 25th at Noon
No late registrations will be accepted due to materials needing to be ordered in advance.
- Scarecrow frame, sign, and instruction sheet pickup will be September 29th - October 1st 8:45 AM - 4 PM at the Muskingum County Welcome Center 205 N 5th St Zanesville. Pickup person will sign off on their frame.
- Drop off is Thursday, October 8th between the hours of 7:30 AM & 12:00 PM at the City of Zanesville Weed and Litter Garage (902 Marietta St. Zanesville)
- City of Zanesville Weed & Litter Dept will begin Scarecrow setup on Friday, October 9th throughout Main Street.
- Scarecrow voting will start at midnight on Saturday, October 10th and will end at 11:59 PM Saturday, October 31st. Folks may vote once per day.
- If participants would like their scarecrow back, they may collect it from the light pole it is attached to downtown any time before Tuesday, November 3rd. All remaining scarecrows will be dismantled and disposed of the morning of November 3rd.
We strongly recommend not including any official military uniform/ memorabilia or sentimental items that could be lost or damaged due to being outside in the elements. City of Zanesville & Visit Zanesville will not be held responsible or any damaged or lost items. All items must be securely attached to the frame. The City of Zanesville & Visit Zanesville reserves the right to refrain from hanging scarecrows with any loose materials as unsecured materials pose a potential risk to public safety.
