Once Upon A Dime: The Toll of the National Road

Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28

NORWICH, Ohio – On October 27th and 28th families with children K-5th grade are invited to take a special trip along the “National Road” at the National Road/Zane Grey Museum. The 136-foot diorama of the National Road will be used to explore the use of money in the years covered in the diorama (early 1800’s through 1920) using play money and items of barter. Families will be issued a card describing their mode of travel and accompanying live stock along with a type of “money.” As they travel “the road” they will encounter scenarios which will challenge their economic and decision making skills.
